Solution:
All but 50 were sold.
Total 1000. Therefore, sold plants = 1000 - 950 = 50.
30% sold at 25% discount:
30% of 950 = 3/10 * 950 = 285.
Price = 25% discount on 12. = (100-25)% of 12 = 75% of 12 = 9.
Total revenue here = 285 * 9 = 2565
Remaining sold at full value ->
70% sold at 12 dollars.
665 sold at 12
Revenue = 665 * 12 = 7980
Total revenue = 7980 + 2565 = 10545 = C

Hi,
You sure the original poster wanted the solution for Q1? I thought he/she wanted to post one/more of the questions from that link.

It's asking for what MUST be true. If X, then Y follows.
If -6 <= n <= 10, then n MUST be greater than -8. Every value that n could take between -6 and 10 is greater than -8.
For A), n could be less than 8, but does not have to be. It could be 9 or 10.
For B), n could be -6, but it does not have to be. It could be 0.
For D), n could be within this range, but it could also be 7, 8, 9, or 10.

The answer is C. As long as n is between -6 and +10, it has to be greater than -8. We don't care that there are other numbers greater than -8, we only need to be sure that n is greater than -8.
