I agree option D - S cannot have an area of 2 as base x height/2 would give you 3/2

I go with optiioon D as well !

the are of Q=2*1=2 untis

area 0f P =1/2 * 4*1=2 units

area of R is a squrar again = 2 units

Area of s = 1/2 * 3 *1=3/2

So i wpould go with option D

I used the elimination technique just because I wasnt too sure about the R.

P will be 2 therefore eliminate A, B and C.

S cannot be 2. Eliminate E

Hence D.

All the figures are in the x-y plane .

Area of triangle p = 1* 4/2 = 4/2 = 2. Hence P is a candidate

Area of Q = 2* 1 = 2

Area of R = (length of side)^ 2

To find the length of each side , we notice , that each side forms the hypotenuse of a right angle iscoceles triangle having sides 1 . Hence the length of the hypotenuse is sqrt(2) .

So the area of R = 2

Area of S = 3/2

Hence the answer D
