A. Rs 8000
B. Rs 12000
C. Rs 16000
D. Rs 20000
E. none of the above
Multiply by the entire ratio P:Q:R = 3:5:7 by increasing factors until the difference between Q and R is 4000:
P:Q:R = 3:5:7 = 3000:5000:7000 = 6000

14000.
If P=6000, Q=10,000, and R=14,000, then P:Q:R = 3:5:7 and Q-R = 14,000-10,000 = 4,000.
Thus:
P+Q = 6000+10,000 = 16,000.
The correct answer is
C.
