Quant Problem

what is area of triangle if one side and three angles are given ,basically two triangles are there with one area double the other , we have to find their comparable sides relation , this is gmatprep question

Sukh,

if you are talking about two similar triangle here.

area1 = side1_triangle1 * side2_triangle1 * some function of angle --- If there is any possible function
area2 = side1_triangle2 * side2_triangle2 * same function of angle
=k*side1_triangle1 * k*side2_triangle1 * same function of angle -- k is ratio of sides of 2 triangles
=k^2 * area 1

so the comparable side ratio(k) will be =
sqrt(area ratio)
