"The most effective way for managers to assign work is to divide complex tasks into their simpler component parts.
This way, each worker completes a small portion of the task but contributes to the whole."
Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion stated above. Support your views with reasons
and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.

According to the statement held by many people the effective way for managers to assign works is to divide complex tasks into their simpler component parts. It is simple because the people in the team can opt for the part in which they are good at and can deliver the task in most efficient way. It is normally agreed that each person need not be master in all the tasks but will obviously be best in certain. And also it will enable the manager to assign the responsibility about the task if it was specifically allotted.

However there is no consensus about this opinion because division of work into smaller rather than specific will impact adversely on the organization.

Primarily, if the whole task was lied with manager, it will be tough to monitor and to assign the daily routines to the employees and entire progres he has to look at everytime. had if he allotted the task by dividing into smaller units to his subordinates, the division of labour can be established and the work can be done in more smooth way. to take a note of example, In our Financials division of our Company, we do process the financial statements of various companies and provide the same to our customers in standardized format so that they can take an appropriate investment decision. As we know financial statements majorly contain Income statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement. Our division director instead of looking at all the processes, he divided them into three groups headed by three managers. Going further into deep, Income statement team further divided into Income group and Expense group. And further Expense group divided into Expenses breakups teams ranging 1 to 6. Now, per se, Expenses Breakups 1 team member will capture all extraordinary expenses incurred by each company and EB4 team captures the tax related information and so on. Had if the same employee had to capture all the information relating to all the financial statements, it would be tough for him to search entire report and also he is necessarily need to know about all the statement thouroughly which is not necessary in our divided work environment. Such employee will become master in his collection process and the chances of committing errors will be minimized. Like such each employee will capture as per his designated team and as a whole all the data will be captured and be presented to the customer.

Coming to the issue that the division of work will impact adversely on the organization. This contention is true to some extent. If such division is not based on logic but based on physical lots, the problem may arise. Hence it was always preferred that the work shall be divided on task specific rather than time or load specific.

In sum, I suggest that the most effective way for managers to assign work is to divide complex tasks into their simpler component parts. It will help the organization to achieve the task in more efficient manner.
