by haider_s » Sun May 17, 2009 3:14 am
Hello

I got following GMAT score last year

Verbal Verbal Score

22 / 24% 50% - 28 Mean Score

Total, 430

Analytical Writing 3.5 / 16%

Can someone tell how many questions i answer correctly in Quantitative and verbal section

I'm confused on what the two percentages are. Usually GMAT is scored

48Q 83% (ie, 83rd percentile)
51V 99% (ie, 99th percentile)

Where is the second percentage in your score coming from?

Please reference the numerous topics regarding the # correct/incorrect and the impact on your score.

In general, because it is an adaptive test, 2 people can get a similar # incorrect and be very far apart in their scores.

It is impossible to determine to any degree how many you got right or wrong based on your scaled score. Chances are, you got a lot wrong with that score though. But no one could tell you specifically how many you got wrong. (or even a small range of possible wrong)

I think it is the percentile of the mean scores, which have no bearing on the individual test taker.
