Guys,

I request everyone to post their Verbal GMAT prep scores along with a snapshot..

Once I get 100 odd data, I can give them to my SQC( Statistical quality control) Team in my office who can give a "decent" analysis of th e trend..

My friend said he needs atleast 100 samples to get a "confidence" to plot the trend.

Now we have 10 entries..still we need 90...

Plz plz pitch in...

Please spread by word of mouth to ur buddies so that we will be able to crack the Monster...

Hi Govi,

This is my latest verbal score.[Score - 45]

Took 100% care not to make more mistakes in first 20 questions and in RC.
Made few educational guess in bw.Surprisingly they r correct.

Total mistakes -3

1-10-No mistake, 11-20- 1 mistake , 21-30- 1 mistake , 31-41- 1 mistake

17-RC, 30-CR, 41-SC


I spent less time on SC and CR so that I can allot more time to RC.

Average time on SC - 1 min

Average time on CR - 1.5 min

Very Interesting. with 3 mistakes.. I think one would get a 51 in Quant. But only 45 in Verbal ???

Hey guys...This is an inflated score as there are few repeated questions especially RC.Also I took only verbal part.
Do read the score as 38-40.

I took the GMAT prep today... out of first 27 I got 24 correct or out of first 20 19 correct then knowingly I clicked all A (only 1 got correct out of all A) so 9 incorrect . Raw score came 49/51 :) in total 12 incorrect.

Guys First 20 is crucial. Then dont bother about the time do it little bit relaxed. Running out of time no intelligent guess reqd just finish it :)

Hi guys,

here is an interesting data set that would probably enable you to draw some conclusions..

We did this simulation some time back and got a score of 34 in Verbal. We did 9 out of the first 10 incorrect and then answered the remaining 31 correctly. If you combine this data point with some of the other data points that I have already seen on this thread, you can conclude that the GMAT Prep probably gives a higher priority to the initial questions or penalizes you more for continuously answering questions incorrectly.

Is there an analysis... which has got most weightage?
I mean if I correct all SC and CR getting all RC wrong how will the score look like? I can try all SC correct but not sure about RC and CR so sometimes could not get all CR correct or all RC wrong?

Please have a look into this scenario.

wow..adding on tothat, in my previous snap shot I scored Verbal 40 with 9 incorrect.

In that in first 20, there are only 3 mistakes and remaining in the end.

Bottom Line : you can conclude that the GMAT Prep probably gives a higher priority to the initial questions or penalizes you more for continuously answering questions incorrectly.
