Have you tried this? First 20 right (unlikely on test day!) and then just guess "A" for the last 17? What would that score be? That I would love to know.

Also, how do you account for the experimental questions in your studies? Since on the actual test several questions on each section do not count, how does that impact your experiment translating to test day when you do not know if any particular question actually counts?

We did this simulation some time back and got a score of 34 in Verbal. We did 9 out of the first 10 incorrect and then answered the remaining 31 correctly. If you combine this data point with some of the other data points that I have already seen on this thread, you can conclude that the GMAT Prep probably gives a higher priority to the initial questions or penalizes you more for continuously answering questions incorrectly.
