R(A) + R(B) = 1/4 tank per hour............. Eq 1
Say that R(A) > R(B)
So, R(A) = 1.5*R(B) OR 3/2*R(B)
Sub in R(B) = 2/3*R(A) into Eq 1,
R(A) + 2/3*R(A) = 1/4
R(A) = 3/20 tank per hour
The reciprocal of this is that it takes 20/3 hours to fill one tank
Say that R(A) > R(B)
So, R(A) = 1.5*R(B) OR 3/2*R(B)
Sub in R(B) = 2/3*R(A) into Eq 1,
R(A) + 2/3*R(A) = 1/4
R(A) = 3/20 tank per hour
The reciprocal of this is that it takes 20/3 hours to fill one tank
