Hello Everyone,
Just starting to research schools as I just took the GMAT and focused solely on that for the last few months. Some suggestions are greatly appreciated!
GMAT: 710 Q47, V40, IR 8, AWA 6
GPA: 3.06 with a BS in Hotel Administration from a Top-50 university (not Cornell)
Work Experience: 5 years in total
First 2 years in Hotel Operations (Front Desk)
Past 3 years in Accounting at large hotel chain, promoted to Accounting Manager a few months ago
Intended Industry After Getting MBA:
Staying in hotel industry, but in asset management or Hotel Acquisition/Development (commercial real estate development)
I'm currently taking classes at NYU to help lessen the damage my low GPA will have on my application. I'm looking at schools in the US, preferably in a large city. I'm hoping my unique background in hospitality (or at least I'm hoping it's unique!) can help me get into the best school possible.
Any input is much appreciated!
