4 days to go - desperately need advise

by sudipto » Mon Dec 01, 2008 6:47 pm
Hi folks,

My exam is on 6th Dec - I've already taken GMATPrep 4 times and my score is hanging somewhere between 710 - 750. No matter what I do, my verbal does not seem to go over 42 and quant over 49.

What is the best way to spend the last few days - should I just review or go on giving practice tests ?

Thanks in advance,
Sudipto

One thing I would like to say that keep doing the GMATPrep atleast one per day and keep revising the SC and Quanta notes. That would be more than sufficient at this stage. Just overdo anything. Chillllllllllllllllllllllllll Chillllllllll Just Chillllllllllllllllllllllll Do some prayer too. It will help.

I am sorry to hear your story man. Poor you! Well maybe you should consider going back to your studies and take the exam in couple of months. Good luck!

The worst thing that I have ever done during the last couple days of my first GMAT was to study excessively.

This time, I worked out, watched movie, and stayed active on my WSJ readings. I got a better score.

Hence, my advice will be - do nothing but be active on your readings. Again, don't overdo it. Read the paper of the day should suffice.

Thanks for the advise guys - i was talking to a friend of mine who took the exam a few months back and he reiterated your advise - don't
overstudy and freak out - if you haven't understood something or cannot solve something in 3 months , chances are you're not going to solve it in the last few days - focus on what you know and make sure you don't forget or make mistake on known things - what you do not yet understand or don't know, just forget about it.

I think i'll stick with these and try to keep my head cool !
