Skipped AWA and Admission requirements

by forwardS » Wed Jan 20, 2010 11:45 am
When I first took the GMAT exam I didn't plan to apply to a university abroad. So I skipped the essays and moved on to the rest 2 parts. However, from what I understand, AWA is a prerequisite at least for the all high ranked universities in the US. Would registering again for the GMAT and writing only the AWA section this time solve my problem? Is it ok to send 2 GMAT scores (one valid for the AWA and the other for the Quantitative and Verbal part) to the universities I want to apply to?

Ty that is a great question and puts you in a very unusual position. The answer will need to come from the admissions offices at the schools to which you are applying. Since it is a non-standard predicament, it will need to be addressed by your target schools directly.
