grammatical errors in the application form

by jpbug » Wed Jan 04, 2012 4:39 pm
I made a few egregious grammatical errors in 2 of the application boxes for the extracurriculars for a top 8 school! The sentences don't read right.

I'm really bummed because I read everything else so meticulously, but these just slipped by!

I'm hoping that these won't compromise my chances...I'm proud of the essays I wrote and believe they are pitch perfect, and I know my recos are strong as well as other stats. Really hoping this doesn't bring me down.

Definitely lesson learned and fixing for the next application...but any thoughts on how bad this is? Should I write a note to the adcom?

A good question. I would say for one or two mistakes, no need to write them an email, what's done is done.

Yeah man, but you DO gotta watch out for that stuff. Best thing is to get another set of eyes on it. Cause your eye (actually mind) will just pass over that type you made 100 times sometimes.
