Ask Sandy (aka HBSGuru ) is one of the most influencial person in this field. FYI, his thread is more than 10,000-posts strong at BusinessWeek forums. He responds to every post in 24 hours. He sounds harsh sometimes but WTH! there are thousands of people out there who just post repeative questions whose solutions are already been answered.

Hi, I think that there are two advantages to his style, and I don't think it has anything to do with impatience on his part.

1) Not everyone understands sugar-coated hints as what they actually are ('maybe you can consider' when they actually mean 'do this, not that.')

2) If someone is busy and successful (ie most of those applying to H/W/S) then he probably doesn't want to waste time second-guessing. So giving it to them straight is good.

Yeah! agreed!
But my point is I respect n admire all these guys who write/ reply to thousands of posts year after year. Answering same or typical questions, they just never get tired (or at least they never mention about it.)
They really have helped THOUSANDS of people (directly or indirectly)
I am not talking just about Sandy but this applies to every consultant who help and contribute via such online forums> People like Eric, Stacy B, Sandy or anybody; And that's why I like Forums so much!
I salute all of them!

Actually, the person I salute most is this guy who goes by 'fanaticalfan' on the Wharton forums and on businessweek. He's an alum of Wharton from 02 or 03, and he actually volunteers to do this (Stacy, Sandy etc are all doing it as a job) even today, posting an average of maybe 5 posts a day. And like you said, he answers the exact same questions, day in and day out.

With Stacy etc it may be less monotonous because at least they evaluate different profiles. With FF he answers things like 'do I need work experience to apply to Wharton?' at least a few hundred times!

They seem to have been around for a long time and are the most expensive ones amongst others like ClearAdmit, HBSGuru, etc.
