Hi Amy/Stacy
Please help to evaluate my profile for the above mentioned applications.
Profile:
- 26/m..
- BE (Mech, Ranked 2), MS Ranked 1
- GMAT - 740, 6.0
- 3 years experience (when starting mba) in (R&D) , another promotion expected next year (Non-IT background)
- Strengths innovation, problem-solving
- Not much extra curricular or community service experience
I realize that I will be very young compared to applicants in many schools (esp. worried abt insead where av. experience is 5.5 yrs). The reason for an MBA now is that I have gained experience in various product development phases (research and industry) and in different settings (startup and mnc). I am very keen in starting my own (pref. tech) company in the long run. For reasons of accelerated career progress and gaining skills to be later successful in my dream (of running own company), I see an MBA now very helpful.
1) Please advice on how does age/no. of years of experience affect my admission chances at the schools of my choice?
2) Advice whether applying in R2 will be a wise strategy, given my shorter experience.
3) What re the chances of admits + finaid support at the above uni's.
