I don't understand what is going on, my CAT scores were improving from the first time I took my GMat prep #1, and now I take the second one and I receive a lower score. My exam is a week away, and I am not sure what to do at this point. I need at least a 550 for the program I am trying to get into; any suggestions?

-Week 1: 390 Q22 V21 (Forgot the name of, but was some rip-off type gmat exam)
-Week 2: 490 Q32 V25 (GMat Prep test #1)
-Week 3: 580 Q38 V32 (MGMAT CAT #1)
-Week 4: 570 Q35 V33 (MGMAT CAT #2)
-Week 4: 560 Q38 V29 (MGMAT CAT #3)
-Week 5: 450 Q27 V25 (GMat Prep test #2)
-Week 6: 570 Q38 V30 (GMat Prep test #1 retake)

Why is it that my MGMAT score were higher than the prep (I thought MGMAT was harder than the prep software?)

Hi Moatik,

I don't know if you need to be too worried about your week 5 score - can you think back to the test and see if your pacing was a little off or if you were distracted? I'm in the same boat of yo-yo-ing scores and usually I notice that pacing is the culprit.

If your exam is one week away, I don't know if I'd take another one, honestly, just because it might get your confidence down. Maybe you might want to review some concepts and some practice problems, but positive reinforcement always helps: you have studied and you have been improving and you will do great on the test!

Good luck! :)
