Worried about transcripts

by seeker21 » Thu Sep 13, 2012 9:37 pm
Hi,

I cleared a course through a back paper exam in college and my transcript shows the same with an * beside the course name. Is that going to be a disadvantage?

I have been worrying about this since yesterday and would like some expert opinion on this.

It's been 3 years since I've graduated from college and have done fairly well at work and the GMAT (720).

Please help out.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm completely unclear about what you mean by a back paper exam. If you're worried about it call and ask a school what they think and don't give your name. If they don't care, don't mention it on your application. If they seem concerned about it, explain it in the optional section.

Was your overall grade an A or a B?

I wouldn't worry about it. You ended up getting a decent grade. If you didn't, you may just end up drawing attention to something they scarcely noticed (or didn't notice at all).
