You have a good profile, but not one that jumps off the page considering the large applicant pool from which you are applying (Indian male with IT background--see my post on how to stand out in this pool). You have to remember that the typical top tier candidate from your pool is posting a 700+ GMAT and has 5+ years WE. This tells me you should be targeting schools in the lower half of the top 20. Not to say you couldn't get into a top ten school, and you should certainly throw your application into a couple of them just in case (particularly if you are going to write a compelling case for why you are passionate about finance), but you will probably find a better hit rate in the schools from 10-20 and will get a great MBA at that level. In a competitive environment like we're in right now, you should plan on doing more applications than you would in a typical year (say 5-6 instead of 2-3). This should raise your chances of admission to a school you'll be happy with. If you could get that GMAT up a little, to say 680+ you would be doing yourself a big favor. You might consider getting some professional advice on your application as well. Good luck!

Schools are going to take into consideration coming from another country with English as 2nd language when they evaluate not only your GMAT verbal score, but also your essays. THis is actually an important point, because you don't want to post a horrible verbal score and then somehow miraculously turn in perfectly constructed essays. There will be "something rotten in Denmark" under such a scenario. What you may find is that schools want to see you in person, most likely to evaluate how well you can communicate in English and understand it. This is obviously an important part of the b-school experience, not only for you but also for your classmates.
