Given: Driver drives Car G on 2 days and car M on 3 days.
Required: Which car would use the least amount of gas

Statement 1: Car G averages 9.5 miles per gallon.
Since we do not know anything about the other car.
Insufficient

Statement 2: Car M averages 3 times as many miles per gallon as Car G
Since we have a relation between the mileages of the two cars and we know that the same route is followed by the driver each day, we can calculate that which car would use the least gas.
Sufficient

Assume the distance travelled each day = d
Mileage of Car M = 3x miles/gallon
Mileage of Car G = x miles/gallon

Distance covered by G = 2d
Distance covered by M = 3d

Fuel used by G = 2d/x
Fuel used by M = 3d/2x

Correct Option: B
