failed yet again

by davy420 » Thu Nov 20, 2008 8:42 pm
This was my fourth attempt to beat the gmats, after almost 2 years of studying, spending over 2500 dollars for the kaplan course and taking the test 4 times, I have failed again. I just don't understand how my actual score is lower than the kaplan diagonistic i took and i don't understand how i can score way lower than any of the Kaplan CAT I took. I have been scoring in the high 500 to low 600 in my CAT practice exams including the GMAT PREP CAT. I went throught OG 11 twice and went through all the Kaplan online assignments and Why and how did I score a 410 this time? I just don't know. I am totally distraught, confused, and discouraged. Fuck all I am asking is a 550. I just don't understand. This test have taking a toll on me physical, emotionally, and pschylogically. but fuck it ill try again

Dont take it emotionally..its just a test..try working on your weaknesses and try more practice tests from MGMAT and GMAT Prep..I really think you should consider MAnhattan GMAT for your prep..its awesome..and one more thing..dont lose faith..im writing the GMAT for the 6th time in a few days and my highest score till now has only been 600..but after that I tried MGMAT and I have seen phenomenal results and I am atleast so sure that I would get a 680+ this time

I did the same thing...I took kaplan course and spend almost $2000 . I am giving it 3rd time on 25th Nov and I need the score for my satisfactions. First time 390 , second time 430 and lets see 3rd time. I am looking score around 600-650. I tried the Manhattan Tests and my score varies from 500 - 620 for all the 6 test. I will be giving 2 gmat prep today and tomorrow and let's see.

For MGMAT Test you need to spend only $16-$20.Get one of the Manhanttan book from the Amazon or online Barnes and Nobles. You will get the 6 test free.

Go give a shot one more time after preparing for 3-4 months, you will see the result.

Thanks
JR

you do not need to do the MGMAT course. you can just buy their books, they are very good and will help you 100%.

If you score an 800 on the exam, you will be prohibited from testing for five (5) years from your exam date...

It sucks, doesn't it ?

Tony : Dude why don't you take the test

Dude: I can't bro. I scored 800. I am on prohibition. :(

Tony : Fuck you!

just took the gmat for the 4th time as well - you wrote exactly what i'm feeling. i don't care what everyone's saying - enough is enough. gotta make an executive decision here and submit my highest score which is a 540. not spending another dime on this test, or another minute of my life worrying, contemplating and thinking about it.

take or leave it, i'm done taking this fing test that proves absolutely nothing! i've read some posts on this site, where the people are clearly not native english speakers as their grammar is completely wrong (no offense to anyone in particular), in fact they probably don't even speak english and get a 700+, good luck in the real world!

The test just shows how well you can adapt to a test like that. That's what it proves.
If people who do not speak English very well manage to crack the test and adapt to the game (and its rules) - I find that impressive. So any non-native out there, do not get discouraged but just beat the s** out of the GMAT. Why should only "native english speakers with perfect grammar" score high. It's a game, the rules are out there for everyone - so the player who adapts best wins the battle...
