Please could you tell me why you feel this year's MBA admissions will be ultra competative ? Also how should one go about this application process to get the most and would it be better to apply next year is the MBA application would be less competative ?

I would just like top share my history with you to get a perspective of the schools I am considering. Please guide me as to whether I am right ?

Dear asmanta,

Business school admissions at the top 40 programs are highly competitive every year, especially for international applicants at US programs. There is no reason to wait a year unless you feel you need another year of work experience or time to save more money for school. From the limited information provided, you have the foundation for a competitive application. You just need to make sure you present yourself in the best light and make a compelling case for your admission.

For the schools you listed, I do think you will face tougher competition than for other schools. That is not to say you could not gain admission, but you will have to submit an outstanding application to catch the attention of the admissions committee. Perhaps identify some potential programs in the top 15-30 range that offer the curriculum you seek?

Best of luck,
Lisa
