(-10 -6 -5 -4 -2.5 -1 0 2.5 4 6 7 10)
(X-5)(X+10)(2X -5) = 0

I believe d ans is 2/12 or 1/6

Total no of diff values= 12
no. of values of X satisfyin d equation= 2(i.e. -10; 2.5)

Agree with willbeatthegmat

(x-5)(x+10)(2x-5)

Hence the roots of x = 5, -10, 2.5

Only -10 and 2.5 are part of the given set.

Hence the probability = 2/12 = 1/6
