My test is scheduled for 26th Dec. I am following the 60 day GMAT prep video.
I have reached the end of the quant section.
I had scored a 340 on the first GMAT PREP test, when I had started the GMAT Prep.
I am earnestly trying to practice GMAT, though I am a full time Instructor with kids and school routine!
My target score is 600.
Will I be able to make it??

Hi sanobar,

Have you taken any other practice CAT tests since your first one (340)? If it's been awhile, then you should take a FULL-LENGTH CAT to measure your progress.

December 26th is approximately 5 weeks from now. If you're still at a 340, then it's unrealistic to expect to improve 260 points in 5 weeks. This is not to say that it's impossible; I just haven't met anyone who could do it. While I've worked with people who have made substantial improvements (some of them improved over 300 points), they all spent 3 months on consistent study.

This might mean changing your Test Day plans and application dates, but that's not something you have to think about just yet. Let's see how you're scoring.

You have some time before you have to decide what to do. You can postpone your test as long as you are 7+ days before the test date when you make the change.

As Rich said, let's see if you have made some improvement after studying the Quant. If you had forgotten most of the math and needed a big refresher you might see a large gain on your next test.

As you get closer you will want to be above 500 with at least a couple of weeks to go and you will want to be very near or over 600 with 7 days to go. If you are nowhere near your score by then you will need to postpone. I say this not to be pessimistic but to tell you that you need to work HARD if you are going to pull this off.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious.
I haven't taken the full CAT test yet.
I would have to do verbal section as well and since I haven't even started preparing for it. I am not confident that my score will be high.

I guess, I should also attempt the AWA. I haven't looked at those as well.
hmmm.....

I guess by the end of 5 weeks, I would have covered the OG 13TH edition. But will that be enough?

Are there any resources where I can practice Easy & Medium questions for both Quant & Verbal?

I need to reach some where near 600.
I have been away from books for over 10 years now!
I am depressed today! Have being doing the OG 13TH Edition Quant section.

Any/all thoughts will help right now.

On Day 22 of the Study Guide (after you've completed all of the Quant activities), you're asked to retake GMATPrep practice test #1 (here's an outline of all 60 days: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide-outline)

Even though you haven't started the Verbal activities yet, it's still important that you take this practice test. The test is meant to help you gauge your progress and give you an idea of your trajectory (with regard to achieving your target score).

I took the GMAT PREP TEST 1 again today and scored a dismissal 400.
I didn't attempt the IR or AWA section.
Quant-26 & most mistake in DS.
Verbal- only 19.( But haven't started working on this area at all).

I guess , I should complete the 60 days course , watch all the modules of Verbal ,complete OG13 edition.

Is a 100 point increase reasonable? Or can a 100 point increase be achieved in the next one month?

I need specific help, some one to tell what to concentrate on and how to reach 500 on GMAT exam date.
All help/ thoughts will be much appreciated.

Hi sanobar,

I 60-point increase in 3 weeks should be encouraging. I know that you're still below your target score, but this is a good start.
Keep at it.
In 3 weeks (once you complete the Verbal instruction), you'll take another practice test. If you can increase another 60 points, then you're on your way to 500.

From there, you'll have 18 days to work on your test-taking skills (VERY important) and start identifying certain weaknesses.
