Dear All,
I took my GMAT Exam today on 28th June and got a 680 (Q 47, V 37).
This was highly surprising because I had been preparing for past one year,
worked very hard, and above all, my practice test scores were very good.
Grockit Full Length CAT (sometime in Jan) - 680.
Grockit Full Length CAT (in Feb) - 680.
Manhattan CAT 1 (6th May) - 680 .
Manhattan CAT 2 (20th May) - 710 (Q 48, V 38)
Manhattan CAT 3 (27th May) - 730 (Q 49, V 40)
Manhattan CAT 4 (3rd June) - 730 (Q 49, V 41)
GMAT Prep 1 (10th June)- 740 (Q 50, V 40)
Manhattan CAT 5 (18th June)- 730 (Q 51, V 38)
GMAT Prep 2 (24th June)- 730 (Q 50, V 40) --> Same sectional scrore as GMAT Prep 1.
I completed all 8 strategy guides of Manhattan series. Did OG 12 twice.
Did all delta questions of OG 13. Then, revised Manhattan CR and SC guides
again.
On the test day today, I was very fit physically and mentally. I was fully relaxed
and was in a postive frame of mind.
The Quant section was easy, I stumbled only on 2 questions. The Verbal section
also appeared easy, it includes many short single line SC questions.
My official score does not reflect my performance on tests. This can mean two things:
In spite of having capability, I goofed up big time today in the official exam
OR
There is something very wrong about this entire practice test system. And the actual
GMAT Software is very different from all simulations.
I request GMAT instructers to review my case and suggest if any additional preparation(s)
can improve my actual GMAT score. I shall be making 2nd attempt at earlist.
Hope this thread will act as caution to other test takers.
Regards,
Rahul
PS: When I created this account, it was midnight and I was tired through the day,
and I was not getting any regular name to open account. None was fitting in, so
