Clocks

One the Planet, Oz, there are 8 days in a week - Sunday to Saturday and another day called Oz day. There are 36 hours in a day and each hours has 90 min while each minute has 60 sec. As on earth, hour hand covers the dial twice every day. Find the approximate angle between the hands of clock on Oz when time is 15.40 am?

for 15 hours angle is (360/18) *15 = 300 degrees
for 40 minutes hours hand will move by (20/90)* 40 = 8.8888
hours hand angle is 300+8.888 = 308.88 degrees

minutes hand angle is (360/90) *40 = 160 degrees
so angle between them is 308.88 - 160 = 148.888 or 149 degrees aproximately
