Soda concentrate is being added into a soda-making machine in a manufacturing plant. The concentrate is added at a constant rate. At the same time prepared soda is being pumped out of the machine at a constant rate. What is the amount of soda being pumped out per minute?

(1) The soda machine has a capacity to hold 1000 gallons of water.

(2) 25 gallons of concentrate are added every minute and the total volume of liquid in the machine is reduced by 75 gallons every minute.

I'm still trying to figure out what is the question actually asking since information is so openly given in statement 2. I am sure you had the same problem too.

the trouble i am having with this problem is the fact that its given that 25 gallons of conc added every minute in stat 2 and vol of liquid (water + soda conc) is reduced by 75 gallons every minute. but do we know the % of soda concentrate in the liquid that's removed?

Yes you are right. What is the source of the question? its not making sense why would he give soda conc and water (may be to distract) well B has all the information that we require and that too given out so blatantly. I don't feel there is anything else in the question because we don't need to find out the % of conc removed. We are just asked how much soda is going out of the machine
