What is the sum of all 3 digit numbers that leave a remainder of '2' when divided by 3?

A. 897
B. 164,850
C. 164,749
D. 149,700
E. 156,720

How do I attempt this less than 2 mins?

IMO B
1st 3 digit number that leaves remainder 2=101
last 3 digit number that leaves remainder 2 when divided by 3=998
number of nuumbers=(998-101)/3+1
=300

sum=300/2 * (101+998)
=150* 1099
=164850
The powers of two are bloody impolite!!
