Humanity has made little real progress over the past century or so. Technological innovations have taken place but overall condition of humanity is no better. War, violence and poverty are still with us. Technology cannot change the condition of humanity.
To what extent agree or disagree with the statement, use specific reasons and example to support you opinion.
I do agree from above statement, as said that there is more progress in technology than in humanity observed over the past century however I can say that technology can change the condition of humanity.
Due to the technological innovations, now, we are with the advance technologies such as computer and online facility, phone, nuclear weapon, missile, aircraft, constructing apartment, developing city into metropolitan. Now, we can pay bills online and banking while at home; just, we have to sit on computer. We can send electronic data (email) to anybody in a second with the help of computer and networking facility. We can fly one place to other or even one country to other in a short duration. Nuclear weapon and missile gives defence to the nation but on the other hand, it destroys the human which I believe it is against the humanity. Now, we can carry the money in the form of just like a plastic card such as credit card or debit card. We should use new technologies for development purposes and not for to harm or to destroy others.
I do not support the statement mentioned above that technology cannot change the condition of humanity. As a result of innovation in technology, people can live in advanced designed and constructed apartment and in metropolitan city. People can predict the weather condition and can work according to the expected weather. People can telephone home, family, parents and friends using cell phone wherever they go. Medical condition has improved drastically and now, most of the diseases can be diagnosed very easily and can be treated in the beginning stage; and hence it supports for better humanity. They enjoy the modern life style. They feel more comfortable and love each other.
Finally, I can conclude that technology has advanced over the past century, and humanity and life style has also upgraded. Some of the technologies adversely affect to the humanity which we do need to take care.
