Scientists have dated sharp-edged flakes of stone found in the fine-grained sediments of a dry

by more than 150,000 years the earliest date when it is known that humans made stone tools.
A. when it is known that humans made
B. at which it is known that humans had made
C. at which humans are known to have made
D. that humans are known to be making

OA C

Strangely i dint see even one explanation. These IMO's concern me alot.IMO will not help anyone.
Few might think their explanation of wrong answer will confuse others. But i think presenting your explanation helps you grow alot.If it is wrong Experts will correct you, if it is correct others will learn from you.

Please do post your explanations.

Thanks

The correct idiom is known to, C has that ( E has that too, but
of humans
is wrong). Others are awkward.

A - "is" is not correct.

DATED AT is correct
also AT Which can be used.
We need to choose have made because we have HUMANS ie plural so we need to choose plural have. Presnt perfect tense is appropriate.
