Is this phrase right

by pink_08 » Wed May 27, 2009 10:02 pm
Unlike its fellow baltic nations, Latvia and Lithuania, Estonia grew at an astonishing rate economically in the late 1900s, and at the end of the decade earned itself a place on the fast track to join the union.

In the underlined part, this sentence clearly has a pronoun error ( itself is ambiguous referring to decade when it has to be Estonia ).

Is the phrase astonishing rate economically right ?

Seems right to me.. economically is an adverb modifying grew.. astonishing is an adjective modifying rate..

seems right to me. Estonia is the subject, modified by unlike ... -- also, Estonia comes at the right place and the comparison is also right.
