GMAT Prep test1. Q23

23. The table above shows the distribtion of these scores for group of management trainees. which score interval contains the median of 73 scores? (please see the attached file)

The median is just the middle number in a set. So, you just need to figure out what number would be in the middle.

Just add up how many numbers there are (2+10+16+27+18=73). Divide by two which would give you 36 + 1, so you know the median would be the 37th number from the top or bottom, which is in set 80-89.
