Let the total number of hardback copies sold after paperback copied were introduced be x
Then the total nos of paperback copies sold = 9x

Then 36000+x+9x=441000
x=40500

Therefore total number of paperback copies = 9*40500=364500

Answer C

H1 = 36.000 (number of hardback copies sold before papperack was issued)
P (papperback sales)
H2 (hardcover sales after papperback was issued)
P=9H2
P+H2=441.000-36.000
10H2 = 405.000
H2 = 40.500
H1+H2 = 36.000+40.500 = 76.500
P = 441.000-76.500 = 364.500

Answer is C.
