You should familiarize yourself with the subject matter tested on the exam and perhaps take one of the free GMAT practice tests offerec by GMAC.

Then, depending on your score and your expectation of what school you'd like to go to, you could do everything from immediately go take the exam or sign up for a prep course. This website offers discounts to the 4 major test prep companies...and you can tell which one I'd recommend from my signature.
