need short method

A cubic polynomial p (x) satisfies the criteria that p (1) = 1, p (2) = 2, p (3) = 3 and p (4) = 5. Then the value of p (6) is
(A) 6
(B) 10
(C) 15
(D) 16
(E) 60

How to solve without going for long method of simultaneous equations

This question would never appear on the GMAT, so I wouldn't worry about it. The GMAT doesn't test cubic polynomials.

Hi,

Sanju makes a lot of posts (I'm assuming you cross-posted this from the thread that he started) involving non-GMAT questions - I'd steer clear of them.

As already noted, there's no way this question would show up on the GMAT.
