the shortest distance between point P and T

P , Q , R , S and T are five points such that R is somewhere between point P and Q on a straight line.
The distance between P and Q is 8 units. The point S is 6 units to the north of R and point T is 6 units to the east of S
and north of point Q. Calculate the shortest distance between point P and T?
A 14

B 10

C 11

D 12

E 13

PT^2 = pq^2+qt^2
IMO ans is B

Should it not be [spoiler]B)[/spoiler]?

The drawing is correct, but the shortest distance between p and t should be the hypothenuse of pq=8 and qt= 6.
8^2+6^2=10^2

Correct?
