IMO it should be E (5) because this will make the term under square root to be a -ve number and that will not be a real number.

i cannot actually comprehend if its multiplying with 1/2 or is that square root? I would request poster to review the question and clarify by editing the post.

agreed -- the original post is essentially unreadable.

if this problem was originally written with the square root symbol, then please post it using the square root symbol.
it's easy enough to get a square root symbol -- just google "square root symbol", click on one of the first few pages that comes up, and then just copy and paste: √ √ √ √ (now you can just copy and paste it from this post!)

or, even better, just take a screenshot of it and post it here and/or on an image hosting site.
