stmt 1

K + 150 will give 4 in the hundred's place

so possible numbers in K's hundreds place would be 2 or 3.

INSUFF

stmt 2

K + 25 will give 7 in the tenth's place

so possible value in tens place of K would be 4 or 5

INSUFF

combining both stmts

if the tens's palce is 5 then we have 2 in the hundred's place. If the tens place is having 4, then we have 3 in the hundred's place of K.

still INSUFF.

Combining Both
It will not make a difference on hundred's place even if tens place of k is 4 or 5 because in any case 4 or 5 couldnt make the sum =17.

hence hundred's place should be 3
Answer : C

This is a tricky question. I initially selected C as the answer, but after choosing the numbers properly again, I realised that none of the statements are enough to answer the question. E is the right answer.
