pronoun ambiguity

I am never able to detect the monster of 'pronoun ambiguity' in most of the questions. This arises especially in case of 'it', 'they/them/their'

Can someone please provide me good information/text.

I really dont' know what to write here. I will recommend you ask for some expert comments

My inputs are
Whenever you see any pronoun question ask yourself
1) What noun it refers to? (student or students). This will help u in understanding whether you need singular(he or she) or plural(they) as required.
2) Try to identify the case. I mean the pronoun is being used as the subject or object.
He did the homework. (he -subject)
homerk was done by him. (him -subject)
3) Is the noun its refering in the possesive condition. YES, then i need i possesive pronoun.
Sam's car got punctered. He called a mechanic.(This is WRONG. HE cant refer to SAM's)

Having said all this, i will suggest take 50 pronoun questions and in every question as yourself questions like those mentioned above. BUT before starting make a list of all pronouns, their number, gender, case, etc..
