Hey guys,
My name is Venky. I took my gmat twice this year (1st attempt - 500, 2nd attempt 590 {q-42, v-30}). I was planning to apply to ISB, NUS, NTU & HKUST but I am not so sure after my gmat score. I know I have a pretty decent profile but to sum up some important things:
- Leadership experience close to 2 years of managing about 7-8 people
- Diverse experience in proposal writing, business development, CRM, advertising, marketing & brand management of 6 years
- Been a volunteer for 2 years during weekends in Rotary club working for underprivileged people, organizing events and general social work. The site won 5 awards for the idea & the work done in a national Advertising Fest which gets about 1500 entries.
- Started a matrimonial website for HIV+ people to get married which had decent success but had to stop owing to funding problems
I am not sure if my profile is strong enough to supersede my low gmat score and the dealines are such that its gonna be tough to re-take the gmat. Considering that I am an Indian and that a high % of indians apply to these schools and taking my profile into consideration, would you guys recommend I apply or re-take gmat and apply in the 2nd round or not apply at all?
Please do advice me on what you think I should do.
Thank You.
