High CAT, low AWA

by mgross » Thu Aug 07, 2008 5:17 am
Hi,

I received a 760 (Q49 V44) on the CAT section, but got a 4.5 on the AWA. I am thinking of having it re-evaluated. Do you think I should have it re-evaluated or consider re-writing the GMAT because of this?

I am considering applying to top US schools.

Thank you for the help.

Regards,
Mike

Dear Mike,

In my humble opinion, I would not waste another second of your time on your AWA score. Your overall score is what is most important and it is a great. As long as your essays are well-written, your AWA will not be given a second thought.

Good luck,
Lisa
