Hi Stacy!
First of all thank you for this place where we can receive the help we all sure need!
I applied R2 to full-time MBAs at Columbia, Chicago, NYU and Harvard. So far I have been placed in the waitlist in Chicago and NYU. I need some advice on what to do to get off the waitlist and into the accepted list. I plan to visit the universities next week and see if I can get the ADCOM remember my face for the next decision day. I'm not sure if I need to retake the GMAT (680). I took it twice (previously 620). I am not sure I have enough time to prepare for a third exam and even score over 680.
Since I applied, things at work have been very good. I was promoted and was given greater responsibilities. I have participated in 2 multimillion dollar projects. I have also joined a new NPO.
What do you recommend I should do?????
Brief details on my profile:
Professional Experience: 3 years work experience as a Process Consultant in the leading Cement & Concrete producer in the world. I work in Mexico, but I have international experience working in the UK, and 2 semesters abroad while in undergrad.
Academic: Industrial Engineering at the top Mexican school. Graduated with honors with a 92% (some schools convert it to 4.0 GPA).
Tests: TOEFL(ibT) - 111 pts, GMAT 680 (Q 44, V 39) 86%.
