Dear Experts ,

I would like to hear a feedback on my profile.

Age : 23
Nationality: Georgian
Gender: Male
GMAT: 690 ( Q49 V34)
GPA: 2.63

Work experience: I Work as a Senior Trader in leading financial institution in my country. ( 2.5 Years)
Before that I was working for HSBC as a Financial Specialist ( 1 Year ), Was one of the first 3 employees to join a company during their startup in the country.
Before that I was working as financial manager of the Gasoline importer company. (1.5 Years) and until present I am their financial advisor. It was my first company , I joined it after completion of 2nd year in my university. Proposed them to measure their risks associated with Oil price fluctuations, and until now I am managing their derivative risks.

I was working for these companies full time, what resulted in my low GPA score ( at my university class attendance was around 15% of the final grade, and that was decreasing my grade constantly )

My Target universities are : IESE and ESADE I am going to apply there for April Deadlines.

However If got dinged from these universities next Year I am aiming towards US universities: Chicago Booth, UCLA, Stern.

Hi Giorgio,

Because of your low GPA and age, which is a bit on the younger side, you are going to really want to stress why you want to get an MBA now and how your interest in schooling has changed over the past couple of years.

Have you taken the GMAT once or twice? If only once, I would recommend taking it again to not only improve your score but also to demonstrate your commitment to getting and MBA.

Another way to strengthen your application and counter-balance your low GPA is to sign up for an evening class...if you have time...since this could improve your GPA and again show your desire to go back to school.

Otherwise, you impressive work experience at such an early age will certainly help you get admitted into the top schools.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to attend evening classes.

And yes , I have taken GMAT twice went from 650 to 690.
