I took the GMAT twice, the first with zero preparation and without really knowing what I was getting myself into. The second time I definitely was more prepared but ran out of time and had to guess heavily in the quant section. I got a score of 670 (up from low 500s in short time frame) and am considering putting off applying to schools despite R2 would be ideal. The breakdown of the score is: IR = 8, Q = 43, V = 40, AWA = TBD

I am a mid-20s Hispanic female, B.S and M.S in Chemical Engineering from non-top universities (both GPAs above 3.6), about 3 years experience in my field, currently at a top company with evidence of increasing responsibilities/leadership, lots of extracurriculars through school and work as well

Goal: Supply Chain/Logistics or Strategy/Consulting (still deciding)

Target Schools: Booth, Kellogg, UCLA, Duke, Ross, Harvard (maybe) and Wharton (maybe)

I would really appreciate any inputs as to what my chances are if I proceed with R2 applications in a couple of weeks.

Thank you!

Given the short time frame until R2 deadlines and the fact that you have very strong undergraduate academics (great GPA in a difficult field) and you come from two underrepresented minority groups, I feel you should apply R2 and worry about retaking the GMAT in 2014 if you are waitlisted by your target schools.

Have a great weekend!!!
