Dear all experts, I would like to kindly ask you if you could please evaluate my profile.

Age 28
Nationality: Argentine
Work experience: 5 years 1.5year in a food leading multinational company (top 50 NYSE) as commodity and strategy senior analyst and 3.5 in local investment bank as senior financial analyst and as a trader
GMAT: 680 Q48 V35
GPA: 7/10
Good community activities and social work.

What are my chances to get to Columbia, Tuck, Chicago, Darden, Duke.
I thinking in applying in the early decision for the first two schools.
I know that my gmat score is below the average of these schools.

Hi,
One thing to think about with the GMAT is not the average score, but the 80% bracket, as in "80% of our students got between x and y last year". So to be a contender, you want to get between those brackets. You seemed to do quite well on the quantitative portion, which weighs heavier than verbal, especially if English is not your first language. Provided that your GPA falls in the middle 80% bracket (the schools figure that stuff out), you should be fine.

As for the rest of your profile, it looks like you are in the running. Of course, how you present your work experience and what you have learned from it are the most important. Career progression, where you have had successes in teams are all important.

I think coming from Latin America is actually a great diversifier. I know that Darden is trying to broaden its reputation abroad, especially Latin America. Duke also has lower market penetration there as well. As for Tuck, of all schools, that one is all about the fit -- possibly more than any other. It's worth it for you to visit if you can to see if you can see yourself in the wilds of New Hampshire (in the middle of winter). Chicago and Columbia have international reputations, so it should be more competitive, but not impossible, especially if your story holds together well.

Very best regards,
