Well, you have some challenges. Firstly, your GMAT score is going to put you in third-tier range for average scores. Secondly, your nationality and career experience is a very very common combo for b-school applicants. The good news is, once you get into the third tier, there are precious fewer international applicants, so your background and nationality may not be as much of a challenge there. For the top schools, I would say it's a long shot at best. Sorry to not have better news.

Hi bryantmichaels -

thanks for your reply.

What is the third tier range...

So it sounds like I really need a 750+ GMAT..

I am preparing to retake now....so GMAT really is a make or break scenario for me ( and other like me) who have not created new companies or done something great otherwise...

Thanks.

For top ten b-schools, the 80% range is going to be in the low to mid-600's to mid 700's. for second tier schools, like top 30, but not in top ten, that range might be low 600's to low 700's. for third tier, that is schools out of top 30, the 80% range is much more accessible at perhaps high 500's to high 600's. You can get more specific data directly from the schools themselves. Remember it's not all about the GMAT either--demonstrating leadership and an upward trajectory at work (promotions, innovations, awards, etc.) can have a big impact.
