Please advice

Hi All,

I am applying to Purdue university round 2.
I wanted to apply for MBA in human resourse management. But I see that they have a separate full time program called MSHRM for human resourse. I wanted to go for an MBA and I am not sure about an MS program.

Can you please advice me whether I should go for this program or should I go with some other stream (like organizational behaviour) in MBA.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Gupta

Mothing against their speciality master's program, but my advice is to get the MBA. The MBA degree is much more marketable and widely recognized. For example, you may not stay in Human Resources forever, so if and when you leave that sector someday, the MBA will be a much better degree to have on your resume. Additionally, in just about any MBA program, you would be able to take elective courses outside the MBA school itself (for example many 2nd year MBA students take courses in Public Policy or Law School courses, etc.), so you can likely still get the specialization you seek and a much more marketable degree with the MBA.
