Arunjalan-

Your core profile is decent, but your real achilles heel will be your Work Experience, which when compared to other candidates in the Indian application pool will come across as light. Not only will they discount the work you did as a student, they will also scrutinize the work you currently do since it's for your family's company. Often, it takes a very compelling story to explain how your position is not simply from favor. This is not to say you can't negotiate around the situation. Make sure you don't use family members for recommendations, and speak to the insight and perspective you have on the decision making processes since you are so close to the company. Still, with only 1.5 years of professional experience, they might look at you and think you need a couple more laps around the block before you are ready to contribute to your classmates. Be prepared to answer why this is not the case and why now is a better time to go back to school than later.
