Dear Precision Essay,
I am trying to attend a top tier school such as MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, LSE, etc. I will be applying for entrance in 2013 and my profile is as follows:
Background:
Caucasian male, age 22
Academics:
3.78 GPA with degree in Finance from the University of Portland, Magna cum Laude
University's Top finance student, 2011
1st team All-American Collegiate baseball player 2010, 2011
Student Athlete of the year, 2010
Work experience
Currently a member of the Colorado Rockies Major League Baseball system (drafted in 2011)
Currently an analyst at a family investment office (1.5 years)
Manager of University's student run hedge fund ($250,000) 2010-2011
GMAT: 670
Work Skills:
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Certified and highly proficient on Bloomberg financial software
Experience with eViews econometric software
I am really partial to MIT (father's alma mater), LSE, Oxford, or Harvard but question whether my GMAT scores will hold me back. What are my chances at these or other top MBA, MsF, or Econ schools?
Thanks,
Chris
