This may be an odd question of sorts, but I'd like opinions of people on this topic - preferably from people who are doing or have done their MBAs.
I have begun work in a very well-reputed company in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) industry. It's based in Europe, but the offices are very well distributed in over 80 countries around the world. I will be an engineer there.
My question is: how do the top B-Schools view such applicants? (i.e. with experience in such industries/work backgrounds) Do they look at this favorably or otherwise? And are admissions committees familiar with the top brands in these industries?
That apart, I have an 'alright' GPA, and a 720 GMAT score. It is the work ex bit alone that I would like to find out about! Thanks.
