THERE ARE OFCOURSE SEVERAL WAYS OF PRESENTING A RESUME TO THE ADMISSIONS COMMITTE. ONE OF THEM HAPPENS TO BE "THE BANKER'S BLUE PRINT" OR THE ONE FOCUSSING DIRECTLY ON THE FINANCIAL ASPECT OF THE SUBJECT'S ACHIEVEMENTS, RATHER THAN JUST THE "MR. SENIOR ENGINEER". SHALL A RESUME PRESENTED IN SUCH A MANNER TEND TO HAVE A HIGHER CHANCE OF A POSITIVE OUTCOME?

Dear Shashank Raina,

There is no way to "game" the admissions process. Writing your resume in a specific format or using certain key words will not gain you any advantage. The best way to position your application for success is to present your background and experiences in the most effective way possible. Use the resume format you like and that you feel highlights what needs to be showcased on your resume. I highly encourage you to do some research on the MBA admissions process to gain a better understanding of the different application components--why each is asked for and important in the evaluation of a candidate.

Regards,
Lisa
