Hi,

I am an Indian male, age 23 years,

GMAT 650, V 36, Q 44, AWA 6.0
GMAT 650, V 32, Q 47, AWA 4.5

TOEFL 107

Education:
Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) First Class
GPA : 3.7 / 4.0

Professional Experience:
Working as a freelance Software Consultant since June 2009


What are my chances of getting admitted to Uni. of Maryland (Smith), Penn State, Uni. of Washington (Foster) and Babson College.


Please evaluate my profile and suggest some other colleges that I can apply to which fit my profile.

Dear legion,

You have a chance at your target schools. However, your GMAT might be slightly below average for the international applicant pool. Thus you need to use your essays, recommendations and interviews to make a compelling case for your admission--demonstrate how you will contribute and are worth offering a seat to over another applicant with a higher GMAT. The other potential weaknesses I see based on the limited information you posted are the lack of extracurricular/community activities since college and your professional experience. If you have been steadily working as a freelance consultant, gaining larger projects where you have built a strong skill set, then it is probably not a weakness for you. However, you need to be sure to present your experience on both your resume and in your essays/interview effectively to show how you have advanced in your career.
